Ohhh, you packed a lot into this short piece. I love how you captured the sensual aspects of the food--it made me sad for the Doctor that he can only experience it second-hand. I got chills when you revealed the mystery lady's identity. (Of course I had my suspicions but that's not the same thing!) And I adored powerful, confident River that loves the Doctor so much she won't begrudge him this reunion--in fact, she encourages it. That seems so very her.
