Thank you <3. I can see why Moffat decided to draw a bit of a line under RTD's era, perhaps especially when it comes to companions like Martha and Mickey. After all, their stories were about learning to do without the Doctor and finding that they could both be quite awesome on their own account.
But it would been interesting to have that hard-won wisdom and independence play a part in a relationship with Eleven.
