Thank you. The enormity of what Rory did for Amy is slightly brushed over in the show, imo. Maybe because sitting outside a box for 2,000 years would not make for good television, and also because it's a fairly incomprehensible length of time for viewers to get their heads around. But it's such an important aspect of Rory's love for her, and also the beginning of a deeper affinity that he strikes up with the Doctor.
