Summary: Wendy doesn’t want to forget
Wendy walked into her old bedroom; it was her twenty-fifth birthday and she had sneaked away from her party. She wanted to see him, for one last time she wanted to see him just in case once she hit adulthood that she wouldn’t be able to see him.
She saw the window, the wonderful window – where he would come and visit her and take her on adventures. Fantastic, marvellous, magical adventures.
Although time had moved on she had never forgotten him.
“Wendy…” a voice called and she saw him there.
Smiling she walked over. He watched her, she was ever so graceful; light on her feet. As she got to the window he stretched out his hand and she lightly touched it, “Hello…” she said, there was something wrong. He could tell there was something that was troubling his dear Darling.
“What’s wrong?” He asked.
“It’s my twenty-fifth birthday… I am afraid that after this that I will forget all the magic and joy…. Forget you….” She sighed.
All he could do was bow his head, “You will never forget… only if you want to forget you will…. Or if you want to forget me, I know someone….” He said.
Wendy shook her head and threw her arms around him, he pulled her into him until they were standing together, “Never…” she whispered into his shirt.
He pulled her close and as she looked up at him he smiled, “Wendy Darling…. If there is only one thing that I have learnt in this life…. I never know why…. I only know….”
“Who…” she said in union with him.
A laugh echoed from behind him, she pulled back and saw the figure come out of the shadows. She was taken aback as she saw him there… her boy, her friend. The other figure pushed her towards him, which was what she needed – he always knew what she needed.
She turned back to look at the one who stood closest to the door, “Thank you.” She said.
He curtseyed and then walked away leaving Wendy and his friend alone.
“Happy Birthday.” He said.
“I don’t want to lose you…. Both….” She said realising that there was a chance of losing both that she hadn’t realised till just now.
“You won’t lose either.” He said.
“But…”
“It’s impossible…” he said as she saw the other guy come beside the other.
“But how can we make sure…. I mean….”
He laughed, they both did in fact, and then the one who had brought them both here stood beside her and took her hand, “We have magic…”
“But…”
“I can do anything impossible right?”
“Yes… except fly a TARDIS.” The Doctor smiled as Peter cast a spell, making sure that Wendy never forgot The Doctor.
