Setting: Begins immediately after The Name of the Doctor, and then goes back to post-Forest of the Dead. References characters from New Earth and Day of the Doctor.

Summary: After leaving Trenzalore, Eleven decides to finally check in on River in the Library.

Oh, this is so good!! I love the romance so much!! I'm glad that the Doctor and River got some time together. Those two are prefect for each other. One of the things I thank Moffet for.

Beautiful stuff. I tend to prefer the more asexual interpretations of the Doctor, but I make an exception for River. I like how you showed the flirty nature of their relationship, while still showing how River has her own independent thoughts and actions, some of which the Doctor may not condone. She is on the side of angels, but she's still dangerous, and doesn't like to be patronized.

And the Doctor's so alone, even when he's with people. There's a guilt throughout Eleven's relationship with her, a sweet bitterness. I could hear 11's voice during the story, and I think you did a really good job with the whole thing. Bravo!

Thank you very much :-) River is one of two favorite companions, so I'm glad to hear you think I did her justice. And I agree with your interpretation of her nature, and their conflict over it. And with how the Library ended - there's just so much to work with there, IMO.

Whew, I'm glad you hear Eleven's voice, as I kept worrying he sounded too much like Ten.

I appreciate an asexual Doctor, too. If it wasn't for RIVER, and the chemistry between Ten and Rose... But I hope they go back to that platonic/asexual vibe in the new series.
