Rory couldn’t believe it.

Amy’s imaginary friend was real, and her eyes glittered and her smile glowed in his impossible presence, and Rory felt utterly out of place. Amy followed the Doctor with anticipation, a kinetic energy that Rory had never inspired in her.

Compared to the Doctor he was just a plain, ordinary human. His heart sank.

Would he lose her to the Doctor?

Suddenly, he felt her soft hand grab his. His eyes widened as she whisked him away, including him in their adventures.

Perhaps he was good enough for her. He smiled with relief as they ran.
