Drabble Challenge #3, "Two of a Kind"

Summary: The human Doctor and Rose have their lives together, and their family is about to get even bigger.
The Doctor leaned back in the worn swing on the front porch of the house he shared with Rose. After they had decided that the flat they bought was too small and enclosed, they bought a large plot of land out in the country. Rose still worked at Torchwood, but she tended to work from home. The Doctor had taken up writing and caring for the land and sometimes going into London to help Torchwood.
It had been three years; since they had been left in this universe by the Time Lord Doctor. He and Rose had long since forgiven him for leaving them here—even thankful.
Taking a deep breath, the Doctor breathed in the fresh smells that surrounded the house. He and Rose were together. No, they were more than that they were one. They were the same in so many ways. Both were confused, both were abandoned, and both were family.
The Doctor tilted his head back, when Rose padded out on to the porch. The rickety porch groaned and squeaked beneath her bare feet. The Doctor scooted to the side of the swing and welcome Rose to join him with an outstretched arm. Rose gave him a grin and crossed over to him.
The chains of the swing creaked under the strain of two…three.
Rose turned to sit slightly more on her hip, as she looped her hand over the Doctor’s chest, and he wrapped his long arm around the back of her shoulders. The Doctor’s other hand found its way to Rose’s enlarged stomach and felt the gentle movements within. Neither of them spoke a word, as Rose snuggled closer to him and closed her eyes, losing herself in the peaceful surroundings.
‘They were two of a kind, working on a full house.’
