Note: I haven't really written Eleven all summer (I've been so focused on Amy fics), but the moment I saw the Prequel, this all fell into place in my head.
Summary: He could phone her. Make sure that River at least took them back to their time and that they're safe. Well, as safe as they can be at the moment. Which is safer than they would be if they were with him. Because he isn't safe. No, no, no. Not at all. Far from it, really. He's dangerous–so very, very dangerous. So dangerous, in fact, that he should probably just stay away. Give them back their daughter, leave, and never come back. The Ponds without the Doctor. Imagine how boringly easy their lives would be. Imagine how safe they would be.
