~*~ John Donne
'Holy Sonnets XIV'

He could turn and run now. Run far, far away from this place, from this man. The TARDIS wasn't even five yards away, and nothing was holding him here.

Except...

One fingertip sliding delicately up his vertebrae, forcing him to gasp and arch involuntarily...

...a pair of lips barely grazing the edge of his ear, followed by the softest chuckle, faint whisper of breath dancing ghostlike down the back of his neck...

Had to run. Had to get the hell out of here before it was too late.

But he didn't want to...

He couldn't understand it. Pain would have been simpler to comprehend, simpler to resist. He'd suffered pain by those glove-clad hands enough times to understand what to do about it.

This, though...this delicacy...fingers waltzing like paintbrushes along his jawline, barely skimming his lips...

It was too much...

It wasn't enough.

Surely there must be more to come, more than just this eerie tenderness.

The blow must fall, and it must fall soon.

Hands reaching up, gingerly adjusting his tie for him, smoothing it in place...

What the hell was happening? Was it some sort of game? A cat toying with the mouse before making the kill?

He held his breath, waiting. Expecting.

Half-longing, half-fearing.

Knowing that Hell lingered behind every touch.

Knowing that it would be exquisite...

I think a lot of what I write has a similar vibe, but I also think that sometimes you need to explore the same theme in different ways. And it's fanfic, after all- why shouldn't we indulge ourselves? :)
