There was no time, at first, for Ada to know what she had rescued.
 

He seemed tall, though not freakishly so, his feet dragging on the steps. His clothes were of the plain stuff that all Mother's pilgrims wore, the threads coarse under her fingernails. Nervous of losing her grip, she fumbled the key in the cell door, every jangle and scrape amplified in the confines of the passageway. 
 

Then they were inside; the key turned, and all was well.
 

Ada traced the contours of her monster's face, the hands set rigid as a doll's, and waited to feel afraid.

Nice! I loved this episode and nice to see Ada again.

Thank you. I did love this character, and was sad not to see her again. Rachael Stirling played her with such compassion and a kind of sorrowful grace.

Thank you. I find Ada's perspective fascinating, really; not just for the way she must experience the world, relying primarily on sound and touch, but for all the complicated emotions going on with her, those competing loyalties and passions.

Oh, very good, and an interesting character to pick!

Thank you. I wanted more of this character. Especially since the Doctor left her with Jenny, Strax and Madame Vastra - the perfect excuse to have her return as a member (or even just an ally) of that little gang.
