Mod Post: Hiatus

Hello all! I hope you are well and safe. We've hardly had much activity here, and my personal life has just been too busy. So for now, I'm putting the community on hiatus. I don't know how long it's going to be, but I'm thinking when the new season starts I'll open it back up again.

If someone wants to take over the community from me, I'm willing to do that too. I just don't have the bandwidth lately and it seems like all of you are busy as well. 

Thanks to all members and participants for the great activity and stories over the years. I hope we will be back here soon.

Yeah, I thought this might happen, and I'm sorry. I can't really offer to take over the comm for now, as I am unable to create banners for the awards. However, I will be happy to continue to co-mod when we do start up again.

Also, a suggestion for that time: What about expanding to Reddit? My aborted attempt to expand us to FB was a poor choice, as FB doesn't have the tools necessary for this kind of contest, but Reddit does, and there are a couple of idle DW fanfic subs that we could take over. If that sounds interesting, I'll look into it and try to design how it'll work.

I don't really know anything about Reddit but I'm up for anything. I tried Tumblr, and I think my brain is just too old to really get into it. Maybe we can do something on Reddit when the new season is about to start.

I wish I could take over, but the Crazy Life Stuff is here as well. Though I do hope we will all be back here soon. Miss this awesome comm! Until that time, though, know we are all thinking of you and wishing you well!

I think now that things are getting back to normal -somewhat- people are busy. And people are still struggling out there.
I hope to revive the comm soon, I just don't have the bandwidth now. Maybe if I didn't have a kid, lol, but work and parenting come first.

I think it has always been Nuts, but the pandemic just highlighted it! I know things will get quieter for us all soon...we just have to make it that far (and be sane, lol!) I hope the struggles for so many end with good notes for everyone out there. It has been a hard year.

Truth!! Those are so, SO important. They definitely come first. Which just means when the comm DOES come back online, it will be that much better for it and people will appreciate it that much more.
